Yahaya Bello, the governor of Kogi State, says those who wish him Coronavirus disease will have Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) to battle with.
Although the governor is reportedly on self-isolation after one of those he met recently tested positive to the pandemic disease, he is rumored to have tested positive too.
Reacting, Mr Bello in a thirty seconds video clip trending on the internet, debunked the rumor while exercising, saying he is in good health.
“I’ve got no COVID, those who wish me COVID will have HIV,” the governor said, adding that: “I’m good, hale and hearty.
The governor is one among top government officials who are currently on self-isolation.
Meanwhile, Yahaya Bello, the governor of Kogi State, has gone into self-isolation having reportedly met with Abba Kyari, Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, who has tested positive to Coronavirus disease.
A close aide of the governor confirmed the development to newsmen on Tuesday.
Messrs Bello and Kyari met last week when the presidential aide attended the burial of his mother precisely on March 17, 2020.
Others who attended the burial alongside Kyari include the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu; and Minister of Special Duties, Senator George Akume.
