The Katsina State Police Command have arrested a 40-year-old man for allegedly killing his wife, Wasila Sara, at Madabu -Dabawa village in Dutsinma Local Government Area of the state.
The suspect, Abdulrahaman Abdulkarim, was said to have dumped the remains of the 19-year-old Sara – his junior wife – in a well.
Police spokesperson in the state, SP Gambo Isah, confirmed the incident on Thursday.
He said police officers have recovered the corpse from the well, adding that investigation had begun on the incident.

On 14/06/2020 at about 02:00hrs, a distress call was received that one Abdulrahaman Abdulkarim, ‘m’, aged 40 years of Madabu village, Dabawa, Dutsinma LGA of Katsina state killed his junior wife, one Wasila Sada, ‘f’, aged 19 years and dumped her dead body in a well.
“Consequently, DPO Dutsinma led a team of detectives to the scene, recovered the body and took it to the General Hospital where it was confirmed dead by the attending physician after post mortem examination.
“Suspect has been arrested and is assisting the police in their investigation.”
In another story, Nigerian man named Ozioma Declan has been arrested by the police in India for allegedly killing his three-month-old baby and throwing her body from the second floor of his apartment while fighting the wife.
According to an eyewitness, the unfortunate incident occurred during a fight with his wife at their apartment on Monday June 15, 2020.
Confirming the incident, Deputy commissioner of police, central Noida, Harish Chander said, “The information was received at the local police station in the morning about a fight between the Nigerian couple.
A police team immediately reached the spot where the wife narrated the whole incident. She told the police that her husband was mentally troubled and doing weird things.
The wife said he physically fought with her and smashed their daughter on the floor of the house, killing her on the spot. He then threw the body out from the balcony.”
