The Edo State Government condemned APC on Sunday over its refusal to submit guidelines for its governorship primary which will be held in the state today (Monday).

Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, a governorship aspirant under the All Progressives Congress in Edo State has called out the State Governor, Godwin Obaseki over his statement ahead of the party’s governorship election.

Recall that the Edo State Government condemned APC on Sunday over its refusal to submit guidelines for its governorship primary which will be held in the state today (Monday).

Gov Obaseki Accuse APC Of Importing Thugs Into Edo

Obaseki had noted that the opposition party was called on to submit its guidelines as his major assignment is to protect the lives and properties of Edo people amidst COVID-19 outbreak.

Ize-Iyamu in a statement released through the Director of Communication and Media of his Campaign Organisation, John Mayaki, described the governor as an alarmist.

He said, “A day after he assembled hundreds of youths at the PDP secretariat without social distancing or any form of protection, the governor laid claims to Edo State COVID-19 Quarantine Regulations and the state government’s gazette on political gatherings and falsely accused the party (APC)of violating these guidelines.”
