Anambra 2021: Group Clamour For A Youth Governor

The coordinator of the group, Mr. Cornel Osigwe in a press release enjoined all progressive youth who believe in the vision to join the movement. He emphasized that for Anambra 2021, A youth shall emerge the Governor and the “Movement For Anambra Youth Governor 2021” shall be the platform to make it happen.

The Clarion Call. Time To Walk The Talk.

Over the past one week, I have written extensively on why the present youth generation should take its destiny into its own hands in order to provide our society with a better tomorrow. In all the articles I wrote, I stated emphatically that for Anambra 2021, I see a youth emerging a governor and that all the youth need to join the movement in demanding for the election of young people in governance.

My fellow youth, we have complained enough on bad governance, corruption, non-youth inclusiveness in governance, and so on. All these points to the fact that our nation is really at a crossroad, filled with paradoxes and contradictions, but we can make change happen; we can create that future we want. Remember that the best way to predict a future is to create it. The actions now we take can either make or mar our future.

Only one person is needed to make change happen.

History is filled with stories of one man who stood out for the society to make a difference in the lives of others. History is filled with stories of one man who decided to leave his place of comfort and convenience and risked his prestige, position, and even his life for the welfare of others.

Many of the world’s great movements of thought and actions have flowed from the world of a single man.

Just one man was needed to introduce the Christian religion. Just one man brought Islam to the world.

A young monk began the protestant reformation. A young general extended an empire from Macedonia to the borders of the earth.

A young woman reclaimed the territory of France. Just one man gave the Negro’s (black) of this world recognition.

Many of the world’s greatest institutions and organizations have been conceived by one man. I can go on and on to mention just one man who had made dramatic contributions to the society and to the world, men who were once the most ordinary person but became extraordinary by developing their God-given potentials and using their unique gifts to be an inspiration and positive influence in the lives of others.

Each time a person stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lots of others, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, those ripples build a current that can bring permanent waves of change.

Nigeria needs that person. Anambra State needs that person too. But the truth is that you can be the person. You can be the person by joining the movement for a youth governor in Anambra State come 2021 (MFAYG 2021).

For Anambra 2021, A Youth Shall Emerge The Governor and may MFAYG 2021 be the platform to make it happen.

Therefore, I enjoin all the youths in Anambra State, where ever you are to join this movement to make this dream possible. The task ahead of us is numerous but I believe we shall overcome.

Remember “A single bee is ignored. But when millions gather together, even the bravest run in fear. The one thing Government fear is the day we stand together”. Be a part of the movement as we change the narrative.

Therefore, with joy in my heart, I formally declare open the Movement For Anambra Youth Governor 2021. I enjoin every Anambra change agents to key into this vision.
