British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been moved to intensive care after his coronavirus symptoms worsened on Monday. This was disclosed in a statement issued by the UK government on Monday.

The statement said Foreign Secretary, Dominic Raab, will temporarily take over Johnsons’s duties while the UK PM is in admission.

However, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has tested positive for coronavirus. Johnson, who is said to have mild symptoms of the virus, will be isolating himself in Downing Street.

According to the BBC, Boris Johnson has mild symptoms and will self-isolate in Downing Street.

“He was tested for coronavirus on the personal advice of England’s chief medical officer, Professor Chris Whitty,” a statement said. He will still be in charge of the government’s handling of the crisis, the statement added.
