President Muhammadu Buhari is reportedly in self-isolation after signs of Coronavirus disease manifested in him.
This is coming hours after testing negative to the pandemic disease currently in 192 countries. He might have contacted the disease from Abba Kyari, his Chief of Staff, who tested positive to Coronavirus Tuesday.
Mr Kyari returned to the country on March 14th from Germany, one of the high risk countries battling with the disease.
According to Newsmen, the president has gone into self-isolation after persistent coughing started Monday evening.
Vice president, Yemi Osinbajo, is also in self-isolation having recently met with Kyari who tested positive to COVID-19, the official name of the disease.
However, the Vice-Presidential candidate of the PDP, Mr. Peter Obi has appealed to market leaders nationwide, to close down the non-essential parts of their markets, leaving such essential parts as drugs and food stuff, as one of the preventive measures towards curtailing the spread of the deadly Coronavirus in Nigeria.
Obi, in a statement issued on Tuesday, commended the actions taken by various tiers of government, and expressed satisfaction, with the increasing awareness among Nigerians.
He said that, with the gory stories in some parts of the world, this was a time Nigerians should make sacrifices by deliberately curtailing all acts that were capable of increasing the transmission of the virus.
