Sequel to the fire incident that occurred at the residence of Nzuko-Ora Nnewi Publicity Secretary, Sir. Augustine Ikeh (Ikedoji), on 23rd November 2019, the Special Adviser to the Governor of Anambra State on Budget Monitoring, Implementation and Efficiency, Hon. Sir Melie Onyejepu, today, 20th December 2019, paid a visit to the family to sympathize with the entire household of Sir. Augustine Ikeh.
Hon. Melie Onyejepu, who has been on a state trip outside the country, only recently returned.
He visited Sir. Ikeh with members of Hon. Sir. Melie Sydney Onyejepu Foundation. He expressed gratitude to God, that no one was hurt in the fire.
He said, that the visit was to sympathize with the family and also help to ameliorate any challenges that they may have encountered after the fire outbreak.
Speaking to the Mother of Sir Augustine Ikeh, who was the most affected, he said,
“We need our elders alive because we need your advice and still have a lot to learn from you. We pray this never befall us anymore”.
In his usual philanthropic manner, Hon. Onyejepu brought gift items for Mrs. Ikeh, including a refrigerator, wrappers and food items.

It will be recalled that the fire which affected Sir. Ikeh’s household affected mostly a part of the house where his Mum (Mrs. Ikeh) resides, and all properties were lost.
The Chairman of the Foundation, Hon. Arinze Nwosu, who also spoke in line with Hon. Melie Onyejepu stated that being alive is the most important thing. He asked Mrs. Ikeh to accept the gifts from the foundation.
Mrs. Ikeh leaped in joy and danced happily. She thanked Hon. Melie Onyejepu for the gift and kind words.
She said they came without informing her and she doesn’t have Kola to offer them. She prayed earnestly for them and the triumph of their endeavours.

On his part, Sir Augustine Ikeh also showed appreciation to Hon. Melie Onyejepu and the foundation members. He appreciated Hon. Onyejepu for keeping to his words and kindness to his family. He also promised to return the Favour.
