Pierre-Emerick Emiliano François Aubameyang has proved himself useful to the Arsenal attack despite Alexandre Lacazette. His ability to find himself in the right place at the right time makes the attack efficient.
His pace and tenacity make the Gunners much more lethal on the counter-attack. And he has the technical quality to combine with the likes of Lacazette and Mesut Ozil in the final third–making it difficult for the opposition to keep tabs on him.
From a sporting perspective, Aubameyang’s departure would create a huge void in the offensive department. And given how quickly he had integrated himself into English football, it will be difficult finding a suitable replacement. Hence, it would only drag Arsenal into further mediocrity.

But, the north London giants are powerless, should Aubameyang reject a potential contract extension. A lot, however, could depend on how Arsenal fare during the second half of the campaign, knowing a Champions League finish could significantly boost the chances of them keeping hold of their attacking superstar.
