Anambra Speaker Bags Ambassador For World Peace

The Speaker Of Anambra State House of Assembly, Uche Okafor has received a meritorious award as “ambassador for world peace”. Presenting the appointment Plaque to the Speaker by the International Coordinator of united Nation (UN) – PEPOLAC, Bishop Dr. Ozioma F. Ozoemena, described Okafor’s strides in the Legislative arm of the government as massive which according to him cut across the required criteria to have earned him such recognition from the United Nations which according to Ozioma is in pursuant to the declaration of the United Nations (Resolution 53/15 of November, 1997).

In his remark after receiving the award, Okafor who was full of excitement thanked the United Nations for finding him worthy of such recognition and reiterated his commitment towards ensuring that the 7th Assembly of Anambra State would continue to enact measures that would benefit the state through Effective Representation, Lawmaking and Oversights.
