Nnewi Students Conducts A Cleanup Of Igwe Nnewi’s Palace.

Nnewi Students under the umbrella body of Nnewi Academic Congress (NAC) on Monday, 22nd April, 2019, engaged in a sanitation exercise at the palace of Igwe Nnewi, His Royal Highness, Igwe Dr. K.O.N Orizu (OON)

The sanitation which was part of her activities to mark the end of her Easter Holiday activities saw some members of the group clean up several dirt in the palace.

Speaking with Anaedoonline, the National President of Nnewi Academic Congress (NAC), Comrade Maduka Chidozie said that Nnewi Academic Congress (NAC) is a body that encompasses all the graduates and undergraduates of Nnewi origin within and outside the country.

On what motivated the group to keep the palace clean, he said, “The season easter is all about sacrifice and sacrifice goes with selfless service. Sometime ago we visited the home of the disabled but we decided to try something different this time”

Speaking on why they chose the residence of Igwe Nnewi for the sanitation exercise, he said, “Igwe Orizu is not just our grand patron but a father to all of us, as the saying goes, “charity begins at home” We owe it to him as a duty”

On the future plans of NAC, he said that since the group remains the mouthpiece of Nnewi students in universities and other Citadels of learning, the group will continue to pursue vigorously the welfare of students as well as ensuring unity, peace and progress both in Nnewi and across.
