IS THE CHRONICLE OF ANAEDO FILM PROJECT, A HOAX?
Touted by its organizers to be the biggest film in Africa featuring over fifteen thousand artists across the globe, the flag off of Anaedo film project called “The Chronicles of Anaedo” on Sunday, 6th of January, 2019 has given many, especially close observers, reasons to raise many questions and concerns which border on the sincerity, knowledge and integrity of the President of Anaedo film project, Francis N. Ifeakandu who is allegedly from Abia State.
The flag off and the Six Hundred and Fifty Million Naira (#650,000,000) fundraising ceremony which held at Anaedo Social Club Hall Nnewi, Anambra State appeared to be a ceremony which had a sleuth of captivating phrases, yet it was not worth the hype is given to the project. The flag off ceremony was marred by very poor attendance and was shunned by the bigwigs of Anaedo community who could have raised substantial amounts of money for the actualization of the project.
According to claims made by Francis N. Ifeakandu, he and his team have spent close to Seventy Million Naira (70,000,000) in the last eleven years in planning and researching for the project. His choice of using Anaedo communities is to propagate the unveiling of the origin of Igbo race because all that God promised Abraham is domiciled in the descendants of Agbaja who has gold in human form.

Prince Agbaja is the progenitor of the Anaedo communities which are Nnewi, Oraifite and Ichi, was a great grandson of Eri, the son of Gad and Gad the son of Jacob, Jacob the son of Isaac and Isaac the son of Abraham. Anaedo film project is a reminder to the Igbo race of who we are, where we came from and where we are going.
However, many questions and concerns have continued to be raised and expressed over the film project.
Before the 2018 Afia-Olu Nnewi festival, posters and banners of the film project were virtually seen in all the strategic points in Nnewi. During the festival, the film project group requested that they should be granted audience, however, from a liable source, there were discordant voices against the group making any presentation during the festival. There was disaffection over the pictures that adorned their banners and posters, a picture of a fallen throne and crown leaving three other thrones and crowns standing. It was believed that if allowed to speak, there could have been a lot of controversies as it is largely known that three towns make up Anaedo community – Nnewi, Orafite and Ichi.
The failed flag off and Six Hundred and Fifty Million Naira (#650,000,000) fundraising ceremony appears to be a deliberate attempt to deceive unsuspecting potential donors into donating to the project under the pretence of utilizing the funds for Anaedo film project.
It is absolutely laughable that Francis N. Ifeakandu who has no record of producing any popular film in Nigeria is requesting for Six Hundred and Fifty Million Naira (#650,000,000) to produce a film. It is on record that no film in Nigeria or in Africa has ever been produced with Six Hundred and Fifty Million Naira (#650,000,000)
How can Anaedo film project which is expected to attract over fifteen thousand Actors and Actress from across the Globe, not have any recognizable face in the movie industry among its film project team? *It is funny that they have Francisca Ikeh (M.C Ada Nnewi) who does not relatively have any experience in film making as the project coordinator of the multi-million Naira film project.
Is it not an insult that Francis N. Ifeakandu who is allegedly from Abia State who has no Anaedo blood will be the one telling the story of the great Anaedo community?
Where did he get the record that Prince Agbaja is the progenitor of the Anaedo communities and was a great-grandson of Eri, the son of Gad and Gad the son of Jacob, Jacob the son of Isaac and Isaac the son of Abraham? Is that not funny?
One important question that comes to mind is, where and who did they consult during their research in the three Anaedo communities?
If Francis N. Ifeakandu, the President, Anaedo film project, is sincere enough, why did he admit in his presentation of his welcome address that Anaedo is made up of three communities, yet he painted a picture of a fallen fourth throne?
Was he trying to intelligently play on the overall sensibilities of Umu Anaedo?
How come that Igwe, Nnewi, Igwe Orafite or the other three (3) Obis in Nnewi never attended nor sent a representative during the flag off of such a sensitive historic project? Even Obi Uruagu, Obi Afamefuna Obi (Ogidi IV) was seen watching Uruagu Nnewi football league when the flag off of the film such sensitive historic project was taking place in Anaedo Hall! yet they were invited.
Can the organizers of Anaedo film project tell the public how they managed to generate the mouth-watering Seventy Million Naira (70,000,000) for only planning and researching of such project?
Who is sponsoring them?
From a reliable source, it has been gathered that most of the companies and organizations that they claimed as sponsors or those that endorsed the project never showed any commitment towards sponsoring or endorsing the project.
The flag of which was marred by poor attendance did not have any Anaedo recognizable personality endorsing or attending the flag off of the film project.
Is this not enough to think or conclude that the film project is an attempt to defraud or deceive the unsuspecting public? Is it a case of the more you look, the less you see?
There appears to be an attempt to distort the history of Anaedo communities
It then raises the question:
Is Anaedo film Project A Hoax?
